Privacy Policy
PingWho is designed to keep saved postcards private on your iPhone.
Data PingWho stores
The app stores information you enter or explicitly select, including names, roles, places, addresses, notes, tags, status, source excerpts, dates, favorites, a selected photo, and any place coordinates you confirm. This data is stored in PingWho’s local SwiftData container on the device.
Data collection and tracking
PingWho does not create an account, operate an analytics service, track users across apps or websites, sell personal information, or collect saved postcards on a developer-controlled server.
Apple services
PingWho uses Apple MapKit to search for address candidates, display confirmed places, and open Apple Maps for navigation. Address searches are sent to Apple so MapKit can return matching places. PingWho does not receive or retain those requests on a developer-controlled server.
On eligible devices, PingWho may use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models to create an editable draft from text you submit. When Apple Intelligence is unavailable, PingWho uses its deterministic local parser. PingWho does not send this text to a third-party AI service.
If you tap the locate control, PingWho requests foreground location access and uses the returned position to center the map. It does not request background or continuous location, save the current position into a postcard, or send it to a developer-controlled server.
If you choose a photo, PingWho receives only the image selected through Apple’s system photo picker, normalizes a local copy, and stores that copy with the postcard on the device. PingWho does not scan the photo library or send the selected image to a developer-controlled server or third-party AI service.
Export and sharing
JSON export and system sharing occur only when you initiate them. Once information is shared outside PingWho, the receiving app or service controls its handling.
Retention and deletion
Saved postcards remain on the device until you edit or delete them, delete the app, or erase the device. PingWho has no remote copy to restore or delete. Exported files must be deleted separately wherever you saved or shared them.
Children
PingWho is a business relationship tool and is not directed to children under 13.
